GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

The viewership comment is beyond illogical. That's like saying gotta ask yourself why Saudi league can't get the same viewership Premier league gets.

The reason is obvious it is WWE has been deep routed in North America & UK for decades. How often do you a think a mass amount of fans simply abandon something they loved for years especially when the product is only growing?
Its not illogical at all. Forget WWE. AEW get viewership that TNA would've been humiliated by when they where on spike.

Nobody is saying that AEW should be really competitive with WWE (although Tony Kahn likes to play make believe and act like they are). But when you constantly take shots at the "other guys" while having three shows that can't match one of theirs its embarrassing. AEW's viewership peaked years ago. People gave them a chance and the company left those people with a bad first impression. They even had a second chance with Punk because he made them look mainstream for a bit and they blew that too. The only people they have left right now are the same fans that watch every week and even they don't watch when they have any alternatives now. And that's just tv, the arenas are half empty in most venues. They can't even give away tickets in some markets and Its obvious why but nobody in AEW wants to say because they don't want to upset the money mark that's paying them so well. The company have presented themselves as a niche product that caters to only the most hardcore fan. If you aren't familiar with Japanese and Mexican Wrestling along with the indies then you won't have a clue who half their stars are because AEW have done such a terrible job of telling you who these guys are and why you should care about them. You can't just stick a buch of match's on with no story and think that will draw, even if its a banger, because it won't. Forget growing, AEW is shrinking right now. Its as cold as its ever been and its all their own fault.

I watched AEW for years, but the whole Punk incident and subsequent firing put me off them for good. I understand why he was fired, but a competent CEO wouldn't have let it get to that point. Khan has no idea how to run wrestling like a business and simply has no control over the EVPs or their cronies, and they are chasing all their talent out of the building. I won't go back to watching WWE, but as someone who backed AEW and really wanted it to succeed, it's very clear which one is the interesting wrestling product and which one is the absolute dumpster fire

I am a bigger fan of AEW than WWE and have been for a while, WWE is a lot of the same thing. Only thing ive liked about WWE is Reigns/Bloodline story & The Judgment Day stuff. Though i wait to see the CM punk stuff

Reigns won't win this time. It was definite mistake on WWE's part not letting Rhodes win last year but whatever. They've dragged it out because they felt there was still legs on the Bloodline story and they where right. He'll lose this year. Regardless, I'm still more interested in Rhodes Vs Reigns 2 them anything AEW has to offer.

Nah, Reigns winning at Mania was the right call...the top guy in the business should be champion, and they needed more time to build Cody...Reigns has been the best thing in wrestling for 15-20 years....waiting another year will make Cody's win even bigger (unless the Rock has time ofcourse).....

The Punk promo was basically what I expected tbh. WWE like to milk stuff for all its worth. They've already made two massive moments with just a walk out appearance and a small generic promo. Save the pipe bombs and the like for later down the line. Plus they where never going to let him acknowledge AEW. Number one should never acknowledge the existence of number two because it only helps those guys.

Don't know what people expected.

He spent his first six months in AEW cutting the same promos and working with mid-carders.

They have two months to build for the Rumble then three months building towards mania.

He's going to have to come in, act like the big babyface before doing anything substantial.

Yeah was always gonna be a case of get the first promo out of the way, and then see what they can do going forward.....he couldn't mention aew, what's the point storyline wise....everyone knows he'd still be there if it was run properly.....
He can't say much about HHH, as there's no money in that feud, and HHH is at his most popular right now...

Look, with all of this talk about the return of CM Punk and Randy Orton to WWE at SS, we're missing the most important wrestling return that happened this week, which is of course...

DANHAUSEN!!!

Highly doubt it will happen but this would be fun.

If I was Triple H, I'd pull Punk v Logan Paul just for shîts and giggles.

Totally crush the gimp and his "Best In The World" speal.
