I guess my question to the OP is, why on earth wouldn’t you do what Sharp’s done?

20 years he’s been on Everton’s books for now, in some capacity, earning a handsome wage, whilst at it.

Why wouldn’t you take the role of Director, knowing full well your feet are under the table?

I hold nothing against Sharp, other than the fact he’s a “Yes” man. It’s not his fault he’s got absolutely zero skills to be a director of a football club, it’s who appointed him.

The rot had set in well before he arrived, my query with him is what's his role/purpose?
Indeed. On paper he is meant to be a non executive Director providing input into the football strategy but in reality there is no doubt that his real role is to be another yes man for Bill. Makes me cringe seeing him sat there next to good times Bill. You can imagine the conversation. We need to bring Wayne or Moyes back so get behind me when i suggest it. Pretty sickening.

Its pointy finger time. If things were not going so bad nobody would give a sh!t.
And if things were going well would anyone be saying well thats because of Sharp. Nope

Think the reality is the damage was done long before Sharp was appointed.

We should never have been in a position where the so called “Powers” could have wanted to appoint him.

Not a fan of Stuart, Sharp and the other ex-Blues we hire on the media side, but I certainly don’t blame them for our demise.

That's the point though, isn't? If things were going really well the board would take the credit and rightly so. I'd be the first to praise them. But they aren't going well. Things are going really badly and have been for years. Why should the board not be called out and be held responsible? I'm sorry I don't understand your point.

Being an ex-player doesn't qualify you for the role of director on its own.

I'm not aware of what other experience and skill-sets Sharp brings to the table to qualify him in that respect.

Not saying either he shouldn't have taken the job, but like all the others what added-value does he offer?

Being a yes man when the club is in complete crisis is not adding value in my book.

Sharp wouldnt be getting any credit. Moshri would.

Haha are we blaming Sharpie today then eh? How silly!

Yes. Those of us who are up to speed with things and recognise that EFC's board aren't very good at all will correctly suggest a lot of the blame for what is going wrong with the club rests with the people who are on the board and that includes Graham Sharp. Why wouldn't we? If we didn't we really would be silly, wouldn't we?

So do I. But right now that's because I think stability is key to our long term chances.

Short term however, we may well not have the opportunity to give him time if it keeps on going like it is right now.
we keep him in, we lose against Southampton, plain and simple
