….i genuinely have no idea on who the Manager should be, lots down to right man, right place, right time.

Moyes would be my only suggestion given he’ll know how bad the squad is, he can identify a player, he knows the club and he can organise a team. Less short-term risk.
No Thanks ....

I would have some reservations but obviously a better coach than Dyche. Those reservations are more on whether he could handle the pressure at Everton. I dont doubt he is a talented coach.

Not my first choice by any means but there are also much worse options too.

Our central defenders and goalkeeper are the strength of the team so I dont agree we need another defensive minded manager. We need someone to coach the players some basic patterns of pass and move.

I wouldn't have him because I just don't think he's the right guy for the squad of players we have currently and we need someone to hit the ground running.

What I think is nonsense is the idea that the Goodison crowd would be too much for him. It's just a bit of booing, for goodness sake, unless you believe all that headlock-gate rubbish. We're really not as terrifying as some people would have you believe.
In regard to that last bit, have a look at Koeman, Silva, Martinez and Lampards last few pressers.

Broken men!

He has too much of a ‘whining’ look about him, bet he gets a titty lip when things arent going well for him too. I dont want to see anybody who has already spectacularly flopped in the prem joining us. Lets go for someone who is currently being successful with their current team. Bring someone in who is on a high, not someone whose arse is still stinging from the hiding they recently took.

Like Nuno Espirito Santo?

“Out of possession of the ball Everton teams are front-foot,” Darlington explains.

“We have dropped the word defending from the model. We changed it to attacking without the ball to get the mentality right.

“We want Everton teams to be high up the pitch, pressing teams, getting the fan off their seat in terms of press. [We want to be] front-foot, aggressive, trying to get the ball high up the pitch, going in waves of support in terms of trying to defend from the front. We want a really aggressive, front foot mentality.

“When we get the ball we don’t want to be a Manchester City type team, a 75 per cent possession team, because it’s not Everton Football Club.

“We call it having controlled, purposeful possession. We have control of games and purposeful possession to get up the pitch.

“We want a bit more guile around us trying to get up the pitch and how we exploit overloads and then when we get there speeding the game up.

“Those are the fundamentals we’re trying to drill into the players. A front-foot mentality, purposeful possession."

That isn't Potter.

Unsure about this but dyche has to go for me. I was hoping he would add something to his plan to go forward but he is clueless. Completely clueless.

I wonder what his actual game plan is going forward. I can't make any shape to it. Mad that we play with a number 9 and don't get the ball out wide to cross it into the box. Complete madness so I'd love to get to sit down with him and ask him a simple question about it and not let him bull crap his answer like he does with those soft reports who leave him get away with it.

Is it too much of a risk with potter? I'm on the fence but if it's dyche or Potter. Potter for me.

I think long term it could be a good appointment. Thelwell would need to go to as don’t trust him buying players.

In short term we probably need 6 wins which should be very doable with a competent coach which Potter is.

He would need to be in ASAP to get bargain players like he did at Brighton - he has patiently been waiting for the right club - he may choose West Ham?
