I’m not sure about Potter.

Ticks a few boxes with PL experience etc but I’d rather take a punt on Carsley if we are going down the younger coach route.

Carsley has more to prove.

Failing that a more experienced manager with solid European pedigree would be nice. No photos of Benitez please.
You can't be serious? Carsley over Potter!

I'm in the No camp here. Potter plays free flowing possession based football. Our shower can't string 3 passes together! Maybe with a full pre season and a bunch of new players it would work, but trying to change to his style mid season with our crop of wasters is a recipe for disaster.
You're in the No Camp?

Barcelona play tomorrow ya know....

In the short term yes

In the long term absolutely not

Not really sold on Graham Potter to be honest
Me either. I think in the summer we could be as attractive a post as West Ham, particularly for someone who wants a bit of a project, but we definitely aren't at the moment.

P.S. I always read your username as Toffee Islam for some reason. I don't know why.

I'd also have Carsley over Potter every day of the week.

He's perfick for West Ham. Not too much pressure at that club. They've got quality players and will be nowhere near the relegation spaces, and they'll probably sell Paqueta in the summer for £100m so he'll probably get to go on a £200m shopping spree to get a nice squad in place.

there’s pressure mate they’ve spend tons

but for some mad reason west ham fans think they’re barca

as i’ve said we don’t want him

be his agent getting him a better deal at west ham

Not sure on Potter here. Not that I don't rate him as a manager and impresses by him for his Brighton stint. Just not convinced he's the answer at this current time. Appointing him will be a big risk, as he's actually the Anti-Dyche in style. Changing to a completely different style, midway through the season, fully embroiled in a relegation battle terrifies me tbh.

Having said that, I'm even more convinced that sticking with Dyche certainly isn't the answer anymore.

So hell yeah, if the choice is Dyche or Potter, one or the other, than at least lets go down fighting if must be.

I think we would be more attractive considering that PSR concerns should be reduced considerably by the summer.

Question is which division will we start in come the summer or will Dyche take us down ?

Hopefully the EPL…….if Allah will it….

we don’t have the players to fight 😂

'West Ham offered chance to appoint two world-class managers'

Latest from Sky Sports News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol:

West Ham have been offered the chance to appoint two “world-class” managers who both have Champions League experience.

One of the managers has recently won his domestic league and Super Cup. Both managers are keen to move to West Ham.

West Ham have interviewed three managers to replace Lopetegui.

West Ham are currently in negotiations with Graham Potter, but not everyone is convinced he’s the right man for the job.

West Ham are not offering Julen Lopetegui any guarantees he will be in charge on Friday for the FA Cup third round tie away at Aston Villa.

I know Potter has more experience and I’d never write a manager off completely for a failure, especially when it’s at somewhere as volatile as Chelsea.

Don’t know, just feel a little bit like Carsley would unite everybody as someone the whole fan base would get behind.

We haven't even sacked our manager so why are we even in the conversation?

Neither have West Ham and they’ve literally interviewed him. Sacking a manager and then going scrambling around looking for his replacement for 6 weeks seems to have been a Moshiri thing, not a normal football thing.

Anyone advocating Potter hasn’t seriously looked at him.

His teams don’t score goals, he even struggled with Chelsea. We don’t have the players to play his preferred formation. He doesn’t deal well with pressure and found it difficult at Brighton at times.
