Gravesen signs!

By the way, the net on this roundtrip comes out to plus 2.5M just in case anyone forgot.

You see this was really part of Moyes master plan. He knew Tommy would be coming back on loan so we sold him a few years ago to get a few quid out of it.

gravesen back.

clever clever move.

one more midfielder and a central defender.

appiah and another loan? Taylor?

I know I know...

I want a moon on a stick.

Personally I think it's a great signing. We all know that he's not our preferred signing but he's buggered off to Spain. We all know that with deadline day fast approaching we really need an extra body in midfield that can keep posession and help relieve the creative burden from Arteta. For me Graveson can do that. He knows the club like the back of his hand so will have no trouble fitting back in and will have the insurance of a defensive midfielder behind him. Given the time restraints I think he'll do us just fine until the end of the season.

good on you bruce, reasoned and clear.

I agree with Robert on the fact that it's seldom a returning player does as well the second time around.. there are some exceptions though.

But Gravesen was on a free and can play well. I don't want to see him as a regular starter.. I expect to see him start some games though, probably as a rotating player in the centre of midfield. And I think we all can agree that if he plays as he did in his last season for us, he'd be a great player for us.. even though Everton have progressed a lot since he was with us last.

As I wrote earlier.. can't remember if it was in this thread or the other Gravesen one:

I just hope he won't do a Jeffers on us and expects to be treated as the star player he was when he had his great season.

2.5 - that's exactly what we originally paid for one Mikel Arteta if memory serves me right.
