Greatest movie moments

Considering the amount of things that went wrong prior to and during the making of Apocalypse Now, it`s incredible that it was even finished, let alone one of the best films of all time.

It`s a film you can just watch time and time again.

* " Charlie don`t surf " is another classic scene with Duval too.

Honestly wasn’t aware… I’ve been educated

Kes, is one of those rarities, in that the film is every bit as good as the book ( a kestrel for a knave )

We did it for English, as one of our books to study at school and we had a brilliant English teacher, who helped us fully understand the genius of the book.

We had to take it in turns reading chapters out in front of the class and then we`d discuss the chapter.

To his credit, the teacher read out the chapter that contained Kes`s death and there wasn`t a dry eye in the room, including the teacher.

It`s just such a powerful book and film.
All true. Still, my favourite part is, "That's how you take a penalty boys!" after declaring the keeper, who'd save the initial penalty, was off his line.

It sums up everything I remember of PE teachers from school.

Wonderful, Morricone's soundtrack, the cinematography and Leone revealing who Harmonica is to the viewer just before Henry Fonda gets to find out.

So many good choices in this thread, especially my favourite film Heat. Makes me yearn for a time when Hollywood didn't just make merchandising movies or reboots.

Another massively underrated British film. One of those that is full of small details, hints and clues foreshadowing what is to come later in the movie, definitely benefits from a second viewing.
