Today in 1941 was the day St. Luke's (the bombed out church on Berry Street) was bombed out.
......you must've been there in March for the racing.
I had a photo of the interior pre-Hitler but can't seem to find it.Used to eat my school lunch in the gardens of St Luke's!
In a tenuous farming/medical based link, many antibiotics have been discovered in soil.In the late 18th Century, Dr Edward Jenner noticed that milk maids who contracted Cow Pox, a less virulent strain of Small Pox, never went onto to catch Small Pox. In 1796 Jenner scraped puss from a Cow Pox blister and injected it over a number of days into his gardeners son, who became ill but did not die. Once the boy had recovered he then injected him with the Small Pox virus. The boy never developed Small Pox. Jenner continued to develop his work and became the father of the use of vaccinations in medicine.
( his gardener obviously had a lot of faith in him ! ).
It could go either way. I think it could depend on who gets the first blow in. If the shark is able to take a whacking great big bite out of the stag (which, due to its size, may not be so nimble) that would swing it the shark's way. Also, even when a little battle scarred from being wounded by the stag, the shark would clearly still be very able and more dangerous. I'm gonna come down on the side of shark.Sent this to 118118 as a joke
"Who do you think would win in a fight, a great white shark or a large stag?
The battle arena is half a Wild West Saloon and half a Medieval Courtyard
The shark has been given special robotic legs so it can walk and also special breathing apparatus so it can breathe on land. It's had a chance to practice on the legs as well
The stag's antlers are fully grown and it's hoofs have been reinforced with metallic shoes"
And they actually bothered to respond!
"It could be the stag, as even though the shark has been given legs and breathing apparatus and legs, it still has a soft body and is unused to out-of-water combat"
Credit to them for being good sports like
So Gorucho, do you agree with 118, or do you think there would be a different outcome?
The world awaits your response (Well, I await your response, I don't think anyone else cares if I'm honest)

There was actually a new species of shark (the bamboo shark) that walks on the ocean floor, discovered in 2013.
Might is right. The fear factor the shark carries would intimidate most other things, thereby giving it the advantage in any arena.I think what yourself, and 118, have failed to take into consideration here, is the battle terrain
The shark may have the advantage in the saloon, but if the fight moves to courtyard I can see it's robotic legs struggling on the paving ground
The stag having hoofs, would probably do better there
There's an excellent chance of it getting it's antlers stuck on something in the bar though
I think, if the battle remains primarily in the saloon, the shark takes it
If the stag can lure the shark into the courtyard, I think the shark struggles
That's an excellent thread idea mate.Ah, I do enjoy a good "who'd win in a fight?" discussion
