Dutchman Wim Hoff, 56, aka The Iceman.

Holds twenty world records for his ability to survive in extreme temps.

These include running desert marathons with no water. Most famous for his ability to cope with extreme cold .

He has run a marathon in Finland wearing nothing but shorts in a temp of minus 20, climbed Everest and Kilimanjaro wearing nothing but shorts and boots.

Also holds the world record for sitting in an ice bath. - nearly 1hr 30mins.

He claims that through " Tummo " meditation - the ability to regulate the bodies core temp through thought and " Yogic " breathing he can maintain a constant temp during extremes of heat and cold.

Incredible fella !

Thankfully there is a workaround: peal the fruit and let it lie exposed to air for a few hours (in the fridge is fine too). The exposure to oxygen kills the offending proteins. Skin in the bin.

Further to this: tried some skinned peaches and pear which were put in water and kept in fridge for over 24 hours but still got the allergic reaction...ffs! Will have to test without water and fridge temperature again. Room temp after being skinned a few hours I'm pretty sure is fine...will report back at some point.

Average speed for a raindrop is 7 mph.

In Iceland, a woman took part in a search party for a missing person, only to discover that she herself was the person reported as missing.

Mobile phones have nearly 20 times more bacteria on them than toilet flush levers.
