So technically it was offside but he didn’t exactly gain any advantage whatsoever cos his shirt was in front of the defender, considering said defender got goal side and won the ball ahead of him.

Tbh, what we’ve been watching for a few years isn’t football anymore mate, it hasn’t been for a while - it’s an absolute mockery of the game now. I don’t celebrate goals anymore knowing var will prob step in for some nonsense reason, like the pen/no pen/handball/offside/whatever it is circus every single incident.

I was a huge advocate of VAR but they have completely bolloxed its interpretation and use and it’s killing football.
