Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Not for me. The best sides last longer than one season.

And what he's said has been echoed by ex pros towards other teams after theyve won the league. The modern players don't want to keep winning.

Who's to say they won't - we're only half way through the season.
On top of that they have a great chance to win the League Cup again.

I think the improvements made by other teams to close the gap shouldn't detract from how good City are.
If they replicate the first half of the season over the remaining games they'd amass 90 points or so - which could still win them the league (long way to go with lots of twists and turns to come yet).

Following on from a 100 point season last year (which they were never realistically going to repeat) that's hugely impressive.
If they'd have shut the game down yesterday after taking the lead and walked away with a 1-0 win - I don't think we'd be having this conversation.

Arsenal at their best never defended the title but are still remembered as one of the best teams of that era.
Even Chelsea at their best only defended the title once - then going 4 years before winning it again and then waiting another 5 years for the next one.

I agree that they need to show it over time but should they win say 2 PL's in 4 years or maybe 3 titles in 5 years (which they are capable of doing) I think they will rightly be remembered as a wonderful team - particularly due to the way they play.

Yes one of, not THE best which is what you got last season labelled at City. And it's arguable that Arsenal side never reached it's potential.

We live in a world where good things are hyped to be the best things ever based on very little. Take Virgil Van Dijk for the RS. Very good defender. The greatest in the premiership? Behave.

Pep ticked some very high targets last season. But the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if ends up winning about the same as Mancini or Pelligrini did.

But as said, time will tell so you can't label anything

If only Mahrez had scored pen at Anfield, and they'd just beat Palace n Leceister

... and Pickford

The ball not going over the line is the first thing to go against them this season. Let’s see how they react to a set back now that the fairytale procession of never ending good fortune has stopped.

But the calimity of the stones booting the mall against the keeper to nearly cause the goal was straight out of the script.

Yes, that was weird. It was like Satan initiated Stones kicking the ball against the keeper, and then thought "job done, I'll just nip and make a cup of tea", and then came back to see 0-0 and thought "well that's a bit weird, oh well, what's Trump saying on Twitter tonight?"
