Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

... and Pickford

But the calimity of the stones booting the mall against the keeper to nearly cause the goal was straight out of the script.

Had that ball gone in they would have probably won the game and the title race would be over. Whilst they all absolutely adored the ball bouncing off the bar against us the way it did, come the end of the season the six point swing here might be far more important than the extra 2 they got from the last gasp goal against us. Inches either easy both tones but for once it went against them. Completely agree though that once Mane’s shot had hit the post there was no way it should have ended up back anywhere near the goal.

If only Mahrez had scored pen at Anfield, and they'd just beat Palace n Leceister

That pen miss, the Sturridge worldie and Pickford I’ve kept riding this ridiculous wave of confidence. Had any of those three not happened then they’d probably be back with Spurs now both a handful of points behind City. That’s probably what the table should look like had it not been for some unbelievable fortune.

I think what this proves is it is hard for any decent coach to “get found out” if they have limitless resources.

Or maybe there's nothing to "find out", and maybe he's like any other of the world's top coaches in that he has strenghts and weaknesses and wins sometimes and doesn't win at others.

And, if you want to know how Pep would do at a smaller club with less resources, taking a look at Bielsa's Leeds or Pochettino's Southampton would probably be quite indicative.

Despite having the huge of advantage of being petro dollars financial cheats, lovely to see that haven’t got the God given right to win every game.

Fair play to Rafael in playing his best 11 and going for it. So many times over the PL era, managers almost throw away games against ManU, then latterly Chelski and ManC, saving legs and their best players for relegation 6 pointers. Giving those three, if they didn’t need it already, a huge advantage over historically the next tier down of clubs.

He'll be on the blower to Shiekh Mansour right now asking for £200 million to fix their awful defence before the window shuts.

If not this window for reinforcements then expect them to spend the GDP of Uganda in the summer after signing more dodgy owner linked commercial deals to bypass FFP.

I wonder if the City players are exhausted mentally and physically drained with Pep's intense seeking perfection managerial style, he seems to leave clubs after 3 seasons as he's admitted himself he can only work at clubs in that time frame, this extension he signed a few months ago gives him 2 more season so that will be 5 seasons in one club, for all the money City have spent to have 1 title in the last 5 seasons is amazing.

Spurs could do no worse than getting Benitez if Poch his on his way to United, he's still great tactically and he's working wonders with no money and having a squad that has a majority of championship level players.
