Bit odd that they keep winning the league and domestic cups all the time then isn’t it?
Not really. They have the best squad in Europe by a mile.
They honestly don’t have the ability to go the extra mile when things go against them though.
They wouldn’t have won the league last year if Liverpool didn’t self implode so spectacularly.
They never seem to come behind to win games as much as the other top teams do.
They won’t win the CL under pep as for whatever reason they don’t have the confidence to play their own game at the very highest level.
They are the best team in the country by a mile and yet they will never be able to dominate whilst other (even far inferior teams like Liverpool and Chelsea) are willing to put them under pressure.

There’s not many teams that have won 3 titles in 4 seasons. No one had them as favourites for the title last season but they ended up romping it and it wasn’t because others fell away. City put a run of games together that no one else got close to.
I don’t know why you’d think they don’t have the ability to win crunch games or go the extra mile when their success in 18/19 was literally built on beating Liverpool at the Etihad in a crunch game and then basically winning every other game after that to see it through including a last minute 30 Utd screamer against Leicester. That shows some nerve when you know that one slip up and you lose the league.
They’ve been edged out in the CL a few times but they’ll win it eventually. The CL is far more of a lottery. How many times does the best team in Europe actually win it? Chelsea weren’t last season, Bayern possibly were the season before, Liverpool weren’t, Madrid maybe only were for one of their wins under Zidane and weren’t when they won under Ancelotti. Chelsea weren’t in 12, Inter weren’t in 10, Milan weren’t in 07, Liverpool weren’t in 05, Porto weren’t in 04.
It’s a competition you can win by winning only your home games and losing up to 6 times. You can also win it by drawing knockout rounds and going through on away goals of penalties. It’s exciting yes, but it isn’t a barometer for the best team in Europe by any means. The fact that City and PSG have been to one final each and the pair of them along with Juventus win their national championship often but not the CL shows that it doesn’t recognise the most consistent and best teams in europe.

I was surprised they beat Chelsea on Saturday and a bit gutted because I think the title is between Chelsea and the rs this season. Hope they ruin them next week but you just know they'll probably get torn apart by var again.
