Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Doubt it. We worked with the PL to get our accounts/spending approved. Like any authority, you work with them, generally, they will respond well. But try it on, thats a different matter.
If your face fits, you're 'In'...you can get away with all sorts

When you're not 'In', drop a piece of litter and its riot shields and rubber bullets

City's face doesn't fit.

Find it hard to believe these are the only ones to have breached any financial rules.

If I’m city’s lawyers I’d be pointing the finger at other clubs, as I feel that’s a can of worms the premier league won’t want opening.

It already doesn’t look good on the PL with some of these breaches allegedly going back to 2008. Why are they only being found out now?

I’d be totally shocked if they majority haven’t, us included.

Again, makes a mockery of the finance rules. City cant spend owners money but Real Madrid, Barca, Utd can be hundreds of millions in debt and thats perfectly fine. Glazers using Utd as a cash cow is fine. I could go on.

May make City sign up to the Super League now.

Yes. And guess who would be on that list...
As others have said, we apparently had to work with the PL to make sure we managed to stay within the rules, not sure they’ve done anything similar with other clubs. If they’ve not been keeping check and letting clubs run amok from as far back as 2008, it doesn’t reflect well on the Premier League.

So what? City have set themselves up for decades of success based off of their oil money and persistent breaking of rules. They basically wiped their arses with UEFA's Champions League ban papers, and they'll do the same if the Premier League come calling. They've got their unbelievable Etihad Campus, 12 feeder clubs to nurture the best talent from around the world and endless commercial sponsorships pumping in as much money as they want. What will happen, a £10m pound fine which would be equal to a few months of salary for Haaland? Or a 5 point deduction that has them finish in 3rd instead of 2nd this season?

No, indeed - City’s attack line won’t be other clubs, it’ll be the Premier League and how they’ve treated those other clubs.

We could be caught up in that backwash, because as you say it’s well-documented that we’ve worked with the league on our issues.

But we certainly couldn’t be found liable after the fact, given that the league has presumably given us assurances that we’ve remedied whatever concerns they might have had.
