Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

If they are found guilty then they should be stripped of all honours won whilst doping. This is no different to lance Armstrong, if they doped (financially) then everything they won is stricken off. Or would that only apply to us?
And like the ers Lance Armstrong, those tours had no winner.

Similarly the whole thing is rotten. From top to bottom. FFP itself is a scandal. How the hell can the likes of Chelsea and United get to keep wasting billions.Throw in our neighbours who have had dubious kit deals. And we can't forget ourselves, run by an oligarch ffs.

Love the fact it's the other European super league 5 that have turned on one their own, no honour among thieves. Probably worried that Newcastle (Spurs and Liverpool be very worried).will replace one of them and attempt to consolidate their position throw city under the bus.

I agree, and if City are found guilty of cheating after after a fair and thorough investigation then we will have to take our punishment. But I and many other loyal match attending fans haven't cheated anyone but we'll be made to suffer.

They can tarnish our name, put in place a transfer embargo, fine us or/and relegate us. They can even strip our titles and award retrospective *asterisk winner trophies to runners up.

But what The PL cant do is take away all our fantastic memories of winning. The Yaya goals in the 2011 semi and final. The Aguero 93:20 moment. Last season's 3-2 win against Villa to win the league. They cant erase those special memories and they cannot break my football club because we City supporters are made out of tuff stuff.

I'm ambivalent on how I feel but a friend of mine has connections to the club and he says he thinks we'll be ok. I'm not sure but I've heard that our owners are prepared to go to war and open a can of worms and start mud slinging if they have to. Time will tell what happens so it's carry on regardless till then ...

The League needs to go one of 2 ways to stop this kind of thing.

1. All clubs have the same amount of money and wage budget and all transfers and player registrations have to go through the league. If you get loads of sponsorship and ticket income you can spend it on infrastructure.

2. You can spend whatever you like. Football has never been fair in that regard. We were "The Mersey Millionaires". Jack Walker bought the league for Blackburn. Why should the league get involved in what clubs spend?

I think they'll get a transfer ban and points deduction in 2027
My bet is on relegation.

The Premier League has shown its cards now. And if they back down it will set a presadence going forward as to what's is acceptable.

Not to say that other clubs aren't guilt of anything.

I just feel the Premier league has placed itself against a wall on this now and in order to show any relevance they will have to go with a heavy charge.

So my prediction is relegation, with no retrospective changes to titles as that's too complicated

I don't think they'll be kicked out of the Premier League (or given enough of a points deduction to relegate them).

If they were though, I don't think the EFL would necessarily want them in the Championship straight away - League 2 could be their starting point even after paying incentives / compensation to be allowed in.

Rangers were thrown at the bottom of the pyramid so maybe that might happen. They have a good academy who will bring them up a few leagues

This is nothing to be excited/happy about. It's just an attempt by the sports governing body to mask their own incompetence/corruption. It does nothing to benefit anyone other than the likes Liverpool and Man Utd. Basically, the elites are having their way again because they don't like upstarts joining their little club. The likes of Man City wouldn't need to be run by dodgy billionaires finding financial loopholes to spend obscene money if they weren't trying to play catch-up and compete with clubs that have done almost the same thing completely unopposed for almost 40 years.

I'd be shocked if they stripped trophies as that sets a serious precedent and might have a knock on effect up in Scotland with Rangers, which the establishment aren't going to want to deal with in either country

A fine, points deduction and maybe even a relegation could be on the table, but I really don't think they'll take your trophies

And if they do, I think they'll just say there was no Champion that season rather than awarding them to someone else
