Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

And like the ers Lance Armstrong, those tours had no winner.

Similarly the whole thing is rotten. From top to bottom. FFP itself is a scandal. How the hell can the likes of Chelsea and United get to keep wasting billions.Throw in our neighbours who have had dubious kit deals. And we can't forget ourselves, run by an oligarch ffs.
This really, the hypocrisy is astounding.

I get that I really do.
But all the top players we see now in the Prem would be gone.
As they say money talks.

Meh, so long as there's an Everton that I can still go and watch I don't really care if the mercenaries bail on the Premier League and the overall "quality" of the division is lesser for it

Let them if that's what they want. Football will survive and we'll all just have to cut our cloth accordingly

There is a chance it pulls the league apart. City may well join the ESL as a result, and possibly take Newcastle with them.

Honestly think they might sound out Rangers and Celtic as well if they're short on teams

I'm surprised they didn't ask them the first time to be honest

Both of them have large followings and get big crowds every week, and they'll be easy punching bags for the other teams

Seems like a no brainer

I agree, and if City are found guilty of cheating after after a fair and thorough investigation then we will have to take our punishment. But I and many other loyal match attending fans haven't cheated anyone but we'll be made to suffer.

They can tarnish our name, put in place a transfer embargo, fine us or/and relegate us. They can even strip our titles and award retrospective *asterisk winner trophies to runners up.

But what The PL cant do is take away all our fantastic memories of winning. The Yaya goals in the 2011 semi and final. The Aguero 93:20 moment. Last season's 3-2 win against Villa to win the league. They cant erase those special memories and they cannot break my football club because we City supporters are made out of tuff stuff.

I'm ambivalent on how I feel but a friend of mine has connections to the club and he says he thinks we'll be ok. I'm not sure but I've heard that our owners are prepared to go to war and open a can of worms and start mud slinging if they have to. Time will tell what happens so it's carry on regardless till then ...

Good, bring the whole system down.

I remember when Spurs were found guilty of financial irregularities. They were relegated, then appealed, then docked 6 points and kicked out of the FA Cup, then appealed, and were then reinstated in the FA Cup. Meanwhile Swindon had the same issue when they had just been promoted to the top division. They were promptly relegated to the 3rd tier! The moral of the story being, big clubs get away with these things generally.

I'd be shocked if they stripped trophies as that sets a serious precedent and might have a knock on effect up in Scotland with Rangers, which the establishment aren't going to want to deal with in either country

A fine, points deduction and maybe even a relegation could be on the table, but I really don't think they'll take your trophies

And if they do, I think they'll just say there was no Champion that season rather than awarding them to someone else
I'm not too worried what they do tbh, pal. Us City fans have done nowt wrong apart from turn up week in week out being shafted by UEFA and VAR, and now the bloody Premier League are at it. Ah well I'll just dig out my Teflon coated armour.

It`s all about the lawyers mate.

If you can afford the big guns, any punishment, always ends up diluted.

Same as in real life.

Please please please please please do.

We weren't relegated. We had a 12 point deduction, kicked out of the FA Cup and had a £600k fine.

This was changed to 6 points and £1.5mn on appeal and FA Cup ban maintained.

And all waived on the 2nd appeal.

But I do agree with your point that money talks, even more so now than back in 1994.

They cant strip City of their trophies as that only benefits the second place team and supposes that they were the only team affected. How are the teams that finished 5th not compensated for not finishing in the Champions League, the team that finished 7th for not getting in Europa or the team that finished 18th could argue relegation may never have happened. The idea that the runners up in the League cup and the FA cup get awarded the trophy when the reality could well be that the team City beat in the 3rd round, quarter or semi final may have actually gone on to win it that year makes all this far too messy.

At the end of the day the players still won their titles and trophies on the pitch when they did and that's that. Any punishment has to be forward thinking and not retrospective. Am I bothered that they broke the rules, not really. We have a fairer chance of success in the future if we get a rich benefactor that can invest (more wisely than Mosh) than with the only option being that of trying to do the impossible and grow organically in order to compete with the cartel.

I find it funny that clubs like Utd and the scum from across the park are moralising over right and wrong when they believe the only right way is the way that allows them permanent entry into top four

It also annoys me that the auto spell checker on this keeps underlining words in red as if they have been spelt wrongly because they have not been spelt in the Americanised way. But then anything Red and American tends to pee me off

Probably best not to come onto an Everton forum as a City fan and complain about being shafted by VAR after our game last season. ?
