Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

to be fair to Guadiola, he did rebuild Barca from the ground up when he took over. Yes he had Messi there which helped quite a bit but he sold off a lot of stars and rebuilt the team and the way they played as well. I think if i remember right he/they sold Henry, gudjohnsonn, Deco, Eto'o all around the same time. So his merits at the nou camp are a little bit better than others who have won with that team i think. Bayern was a straight walk in job though so nothing special there.

They weren't awful, they got to plenty of finals, it just took them a few attempts to get over the line, that happens sometimes

Awful would be if they'd never even got past the last 16 or some such

It depends on you measure mate, in comparrison to say Cardiff they weren't awful, in comparrison to Real, Milan, Jeventus, Ajax they were awful.

U wot? They won the Champions League 2 years before he took over. They sold Ronaldinho and Deco in the summer, but they were past it anyway and had a poor season in 07/08.

the way they played changed, the players were chopped and changed for the most part, including paying out to bring players like Pique back to suit the plan and the culture, started with Cruyff came back refined and made them better for it i think.
things did change for barcelona at the time from what i remember, it might have been facilitated by players such as xavi and iniesta but Guadiola did change an awful lot in the squad and created what barcelona is today.

No matter how much money you have to spend, it takes time to get the right players in and adapt your playing style. I don't particularly like Pep but to said he's failed because they haven't maintained their early season form is short-termism at its worst.

He is struggling now but I don't think you can really judge his performance until he's had a couple of summers to get it running. This is a massive rebuilding job, more than people think. If City are still languishing outside the CL places in a year's time maybe then you can consider it a failure.

That being said I hope he falls on his face the arrogant meff.

That front 3 tonight against West Ham was scary, average age of 20! Future looks really good for City at the minute - if only they could sort their defence haha

Good for us that Aguero is on his way out. He'll be the first name on the wishlist for top teams, which means there's a better chance of Lukaku staying.

Think he may end up at Juve with Dybala going the other way.

Pep alienating key players already, he's an overrated man child, literally can't wait for his inevitable failure, lifes a bit tougher when you don't get the opportunity to bounce back against fc sporting jarg the week after a tough game
