Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Hahahaha.

Their best sides are the best, 8th downwards wouldn't beat Stoke or Southampton regularly.
That's up for debate but even if that was the case that still means your 85% claim is a big exaggeration. It basically amounts to similar amounts of dross in both leagues

If he doesnt absolutely spank this league, he is up there with the biggest frauds in football.

1/4 Billion spent.

Dunno. Times reporting that Conte at Chelski has been given the green light to go head to head on spending.

Makes a mockery of us getting excited about having the Mosh on board TBH

Proper overrated IMO and due to that I want to see him fail. Schadenfreude at its finest. Same with Mourinho whom I also saw is already peddling the "we're not big contenders for the title" despite owning technically the 2 most expensive players in the world.

The Spanish league is the best league in the world mate. 85% dross is a massive over exaggeration
It's fair to say it contains a small number of some of the best teams in the world, but a large number of the teams to be fair are well below par.

Look at the number of drummings take place compared to in other leagues and that's due to the gulf in class from top to bottom being immense.

I'm more surprised that Pep, apart from with Walker you might say, hasn't gone for a proven defence. I'd expect a shaky few months at least.

You could say the same about the PL though. Below the top 7 it's utter dross. Real, Barca and Atletico would drub them all too.

Er, my point is that I can't actually justifiably say that because I see a much fairer balance between the top and the bottom of the table in PL.

There are much fewer 'drummings', which you see fairly regularly in La Liga, combined with a fair results that throw a spanner in the works.

You may argue that it's the quality of the likes of Barca, but I wouldn't say the top sides are so far off their La Liga counterparts to induce this.

On the other hand, the common consensus is that the PL is a much more competitive league in terms of team vs. team comparisons throughout.

It may not have the best teams or individual players but it makes a much more thoroughly enjoyable watch overall rather than with La Liga.

Enjoyable watch and quality are 2 different things. There are less drubbings in the PL because the top teams are not as good as La Liga's top teams. If you put Barca and the 2 Madrids in the PL they'd be top 3 easily.

Surely its just a case of can Pep (Spanish, Barca, Dutch/Cruyff legacy) succeed in the EPL?
Fascinating to watch but a 'fraud', c'mon.
There's not many managers of his class, intelligence and belief around.

The EPL is more difficult to dominate. It is the richest league in the world with mid table teams wealthier than just about everyone else.
Nearly all the wealth in La Liga is in the top three or four. Of course the lower teams are going to get whipped.

There's also a huge cultural difference in style/mentality of play.
Spanish teams don't park the bus, they try to play football. A team thats 2-0 down in Spain has a different mentality to English teams.
Clearing the ball is booed by fans.

Pep comes from this mentality. Wegner has been copping it for years.
As a Dutch supporter I hope he succeeds.
But given his approach he is unlikely to win the title, no matter how much money he spends.
More likely to get to a CL final than win the premier league.

At least he's got the balls to try and find out.

We don't get to see Brazil take on Germany like back in the old days when they all came from their national leagues.
But we'll still get to see stuff like Pep going to the premier league.

Says that they can match Real's bid for Mbappé.

How can you seriously take any sort of pride in victory if you spend close to £400m in ONE transfer window?

Absolute fraud of a manager. He'd relegate a Stoke-type team.
