Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

He needs to d the PL/CL double after his £400 million pound spending the last 2 summers.

Still amazed he's going with the CB's he has now in Stones Otamendi who are just not good enough and an injury prone Kompany.

Not sure why he didn't get in the VVD sweep stakes, they need a top class CB.

It seems a top heavy team with an array of attacking talent in midfield and up top and a weak glaring hole in the middle of the defence.

They will be flat track bullies again, smashing the majority of poor teams in the league and coming unstuck against the top teams home and abroad.

Mike Walker couldn't win the Conference if he had Man City style money. He's quite possibly the stupidest person to ever be involved in the game. He's not fit to manage a five-a-side team having a kick about in the park!

That's a bit harsh old chap !!

Speaking as a City fan mate, don't really think the players we have in central defence are poor players by any means, they just don't get the cover that they might playing in systems used by other sides. Pep's style is about keeping the ball high up the field, lose it and we're wide open to the counter, (see Goodison 16/17). Anyway he's now got the pace that Walker, Mendy & Dinnilo will bring, albeit for crazy money! but that's the market. One things for sure if he doesn't deliver this season he'll be toast! All the best.

Fair comment. Time will tell.

Its crazy really

It will be very interesting come the end of the season as only one team can be champions

So either Guardiola or Mourinho will be in deep trouble.

This is the first time in decades that we have three or four teams who can and should win the league.

i really don't know if united can be considered title contenders. They should be based on fees paid, but will lukaku be any better than ibrahimovic last season? I have my doubts, he'll score more goals maybe, but will they be as big as the ones ibra scored? hmm, doubtful. They've sold their captain and then brought in that swedish centre back who has looked a bit crap so far.

Matic is a decent signing though, but looks on the decline, so we'll see how that one goes. Think selling fellaini is a mistake myself, he does give them good options.
