He's been here a year and people are still saying he doesn't control games. He never has! That's not his game, why do people still not understand?
No, i think people are trying to figure out what he does

Not one person looks happy
A lot of fans - quite rightly I suppose - cannot forget the £45M for a player who does the occasional good thing but not much else. He was a big fish in a small pond at Swansea, failed at Spurs yet we splashed the dosh anyway. Might as well keep him as we will not get the money back. He's been here a year and people are still saying he doesn't control games. He never has! They all put their cards in a hat to see who had to pay the bill, Stek got caught.
You can see how the teams split, demographic is how you would expect.
So your response to a blue tinted view, in your opinion, is to talk a load of negative rubbish with no basis?
"He does nothing like 90% of the time."
I mean, that's just no true is it lol

Gylfi's best game, showcasing much of his skills, was Soton at home. All of the work was done outside the box. The balls to Richarlison, the tee up to Walcott, the set pieces. He was absolutely brilliant and displayed so much more than "getting shots off and finding space in the box". It's such a lazy observation.
I respect you were against his signing, that's your right. But you're seemingly trying to jusitfy your view with baseless information. Look at the video above, earlier in this thread, of his chances created for visual evidence you're wrong.
"With our limited midfielders we need a 10 who drops deeper, keeps the passing ticking over and can progress the ball forward with dribbles"
Don't you see how you're compounding the issue by advocating these tactics? You're saying let's have MORE bodies further away from goal, next to our "limited" midfielders (Morgan and Gana I imagine?) and you believe we'll create more chances? It makes no sense at all, to me anyway.
To me it's simple, the further the oppos sit back, the more important it is to have a CM being able to find Sigurdssen of which we don't have any.
More than happy to agree to disagree though. I love a debate but I just do not see where you're coming from at all.
Because we didn't buy one?My eyes have not shown me a £40m+ playmaker.
Because we didn't buy one?
Where you expecting him to be a playmaker mate?Too right we didn’t.

Can't help you there if so.
