My frustration with siggy is I've always liked him, I rate him very highly and he's been a player I've wanted us to sign for a while. I think there's a lot more to come, I do think he doesn't seem to be able to lift the team when they're playing rubbish like say he does for Iceland, he's got the quality he's just a bit inconsistent and I think he's capable of being more consistent which is why I get annoyed. At the end of the day I suppose we are a better side with him than without him but like anyone if your form dips you shouldn't automatically command a place but that's on the manager.

Apparently Mr IcelandStats AKA Sidious Steel AKA Ricky Ryder/Rider (delete as appropriate) has had Richard Scudamore held captive in his dungeon for the past two weeks in order to secure the nomination.

How he's managed to score and create goals semi consistently since he's joined given some of the dirge around him is astonishing.

If we can get a couple more quality pieces around him and consistently firing he will be an utter star.

I'd like to see him play with Bernard and Walcott, I think they could be a good combination.

FFS I'm not knocking him for getting nominated. I only said I'm surprised given that he's on a shortlist of 6 from the whole premier league and that out of 4 games during the month he was distinctly average at best in 2 of them. He didn't even win our own player of the month on GOT, in what was, let's be honest, a very poor month.

it does infuriate me tbh how awards like this does seem to be done on a whim though. It does reek of garth crook's teams of the week containing XI players who all scored. All the analysis and cameras around these days and it does seem like people can't be bothered to actually do much analysis. There's always the questionable same players from the top clubs chosen in World XI's etc. and stupid goals being nominated for best goals.

So much better with quality players around him. Some argue he should grip games when he doesn't have those players around him, maybe, but no question he has class and capability.

It’s a shame he never mugged us off in the majority of his performances last season mate where on the whole he was mostly gash.

Nice too see him doing well now though.
