And for some time. When Barkley played for us, they were a genuine collector's item. Only Deulofeu seemed capable of producing them with any regularity.

Thankfully we've enormously upgraded in that department. Sigurdsson just makes it look easy, though you wonder how many more Lukaku would have got with Sigurdsson playing off him instead of Barkley...

You wonder how many goals lukaku would score if he actually knew how to make runs.

He produces one excellent pass or shot during most games. Which are good. Obviously.

But he does eff all in terms of actually linking our midfield and attack, being involved in the buildup, etc, and I think it makes our attack worse off overall...

Hard to say about Bernard for me but I would be interested in seeing DCL, Richarlison, Walcott/Lookman, Bernard as our front four. Just to find out, ya know.

He tries and tries. Always trying to make things happen and plays some intelligent football. Noticed today that he tried to get us on the front foot with some lets say risky/50/50 passing that if came off then we were in. He seemingly attempts a few passes at full stretch. Also noticed that when caught in possession he was trying so hard to find a man and wouldn't just punt the ball hopelessly. Some of our players are not making themselves available quickly enough for him. I like Siggy because he has that class mixed with hard work. He is reaping the benefits this season and with better movement in the team we will see an even better Siggy.
