Siggy worked his socks off today as he always does. Not enough brain matter playing around him for him to show the effect he can produce.
One of our best players and should be playing week in week out no doubt.

Created all of our (not many) chances in the first half.

Was poor in the second but we were playing with no system. It was hit and rush football with 40 yards of nothing in the middle.

I would think the idea is "he needs to take the game by the scruff of its neck" will be the idea which I do agree with. Gerard, as much of a tit as he was, ran matches. You rarely see that with Gylfi. I suppose that's not his game but he does flatter to deceive too often

We were told that the reason he was piss poor for the majority of last season was because of the quality of the players round him were crap. At the start of this season when he was on a good run of form we were told that we were seeing the real Sigurdsson because he now had those quality players around him, and those that doubted him didn't know anything about footy. Now he supposedly needs a dynamic forward line in front of him to shine, there always seems to be an excuse for him.

The only thing you can say barkley is better than siggy at is running with the ball at pace. Finishing, long range shooting, final pass, work rate, decision making , awareness siggy craps all over him

Barkley does not run with the ball anymore. He doesn't. He hasn't for years and he's only 25 or so. He doesn't fancy himself that type of player anymore. A shame of course, but that's not the player he is.

He created the chance for Richarlison. He created the chance for Kenny (or at least instigated it).

Poor set plays - same for Digne.

You could say every player bottled it, so I hope you're putting it in every thread, mate.

He kept compounding his own mistakes in the second half. He's a liability at times due to what looks like a lack of self belief. His body language in the second half was appalling.
