Gomes didn't make a single tackle or interception last week and everyone's crying for him to be signed and how he's quality. Siggy works his tail off. The Tottenham match was a great example.
The whole team was folding like a deck of cards and he was still working his tail off, even made it a game almost entirely on his own. He's the last guy that should be given stick.

We nearly won with 10 men against Wolves when he was subbed off early as we were playing a different way. Its only a small sample size I know but he's pretty much played all of every other game. I would like to see how we got on if he was rested for a few games. To be fair I think he would make a good sub playing his clever thru balls against tiring defenders.

R9 does not look like a 45m player , be honest . His decision making is poor, he is hot headed , dives and whinges a lot , doesn’t pass, loses the ball a lot . He scored s decent amount of goals but saying he’s been played out of position and still looks good isn’t right, he in no way looks like a striker , take away say 4 of his goals that he scored from the wing you really think his goal return makes him look good? You think his link up play does? Hold up play? No it doesn’t

I’m talking about him playing as a striker ... he scored 4 of his goals from the wing. So just looking at his games as a striker . He’s not a natural forward is the point I’m making

So if he scores the first goal In a 2-1 win then his goal isn’t as inportant as the final goal?

I’m that case you could say baines should play as he was in the side against wolves , also Tuson , Walcott and richy in the left. As they all played after the red card.

As I said small sample. I just think he limits us but that is my opinion. I just find that he can't do anything right according to the irrational haters and everything and everyone else is to blame according to the fan boys. Both views are too extreme for me. I think we overpaid which is what has created these two such extreme view points. Not the players fault as such but hevis intelligent enough to realuse that you sign for that much money and earn that much p/w the fans are going to expect more than 1 good game in 5. I let him off with last season as he was played out of position and we had that muppet as manager. However this season we have a proper manager and he's largely played his main position and he still only has one good game in 5.
