I just don’t get Sigurdsson at all. I’m sure we could have got that Mooy for a lot less. He came on last night & had an immediate effect on the game. Everything went through him, he dictated the pace, draws markers, great range of passing.

Some come off, most don’t.

The issue I see with replacing Sigurdsson with someone like Mooy is that you may be gaining in certain areas by bringing in Mooy, but you'd then lose out in other ways. Notably goals and (without looking I imagine) assists.

It's like having 10 men when Sigurdsson isn't playing well or having an effect in possession. But whilst only Richarlison is contributing goals, then we have to have Sigurdsson playing or we will struggle even more to produce any goals.

He’s alright C. But definitely wouldn’t get in ahead of big Sean Myler, you’re right.

Mooy is a good player. But he's not like Siggurdson and more of a CM like Gomes.

Ideal world for me would buy Gomes and pick Mooy up on the cheap as a backup to create some competition.

We're very light in the CM position.

Not suggesting we should have gone for Mooy. Just using him as a recent example of an attacking midfielder who gets involved & leads his team around the pitch.

Agree it’s like playing with 10 men with Sigurdsson in the team. We could have done a lot better for that money.
