Per capita income in Mexico is slightly higher than Brazil and just a bit below Turkey.

Just because they earn less than Mexicans doesn’t mean Mexicans are going to give us millions in income . They can’t afford it , I can only just afford it myself , spend 700 bucks on Everton tops yesterday alone.

All true.

The exception is with a Lozano who comes from Mexico of course and would generate large shirt sales BUT wouldnt cover his costs though could put the club on the global map -- which Mina and Richarlison may be doing.

A bit like Tosun in Turkey...

So we wouldnt see direct benefits, but we would be seeing exposure for the club.
Ehm...lads?

Kitbag. We don't get anything from player X from country Y shirt sales.

Seems Matt Cheetham is getting the full barrel on Twitter from the super turbo mega blooz for stating something that is actually true. If you believe he’s performed up to the required standard since he joined, your head is buried firmly in the sand.

My favourite has been “you lads have got an agenda against us.”

The fella who wrote it is as Blue as they come. Can we please not turn into kopites over a player, please.

Its just strange timing.

This season he has played 3 league games (not including the one he was subbed in the first half due to Jags' red).

In 2 of those 3 he was really good and was voted on here as man of the match in those games.

You boys are weird. Without a doubt he has the best end product at the club. Created the most chances out of every PL player in the 2nd round of games. Yes he was poor against Huddersfield, everyone was. However, he certainly should have stayed on, subbing him was a mistake.

I love Siggy tbh

Hes getting on now. He must be what 30? I say its time for a young lad to take his place. He has not given much from when he sign for us.

not sure if anyone has replied to you but he was only 29 5 days ago, hardly time to take round the back and shoot him

That's not exactly an amazing stat is it let's be honest? He was taking all our set pieces against an awful team at home, many of those 'chances' were just people getting their head on something from 15 yards out, not like he was carving teams open.

I agree that it's slightly odd timing because he's definitely been better this year, but is it coincidence that he was the man sacrificed at Wolves and then he was withdrawn again when we needed a goal against Huddersfield? I don't know, but it seems like Silva isn't totally sold on him either.

It was the sensible change. You know I really rate Gylfi, but even I thought at that point, it had to be him going off. We needed pace on the break and taking Gyfli off still enabled us to keep our shape.

The Huddersfield one was a weird one. He was poor, but no worse than most of the others. I think he looked leggy a bit and Silva clearly wanted to get another forward on.

I don't think it worked as we then skipped out the midfield all together, like, and played even more into Huddersfield's hands.

I’m not Siggurdsons biggest fan but I think the reaction to Cheetham’s article is more about media treatment of Everton than anything personal to Siggurdson. In a week where Richarlison debuted and scored twice for Brazil and Moshiri increased his shareholding, the headline story Sky choose to go with is to tear into a player that has been ok this season. After a season of being mocked for everything Allardyce and for our signings under Walsh, the reaction to the Richarlison buy, and now this just seem like unnecessary swiping at a club that actually might be for the first time in a long time moving forward.
