I don't mean this to sound rude mate but I think I trust Carlo over you.
Why are they so surprised?

Definitely not. I'd agree with you there.Quite right but the match day performance is what counts for me for the future selection, has the player earned it?
GordonWho else plays?
That's what a lot of people forget right now.
All well and good complaining how bad a player is but when we have noone else to play there then they have to play.
Plus he has done nothing to strip him of the captaincy , doesn't mean we won't get rid on the summer and appoint a new captain.
Mate I think you've confused yourself here. YOU are the one saying Sigurdsson is finished here and will be getting the boot in the summer, and that Ancelotti has made his mind up on that. I am saying that logically that makes no sense, because we keep picking him. We played him wide left yesterday when Iwobi was on the bench, who is a left winger. We had Walcott on the bench, who could have played wide right with Bernard switching to the left. Kean could have played up front with Richarlison going left, where he's played half his career. We did none of those perfectly plausible things, because (although I don't know why) Ancelotti quite clearly doesn't think Sigurdsson is already a goner.
Also, if you don't see the complete idiocy in saying in your first post that Sigurdsson lacks commitment and in your second that there's no reason for him not to be captain, I'm not sure that either football or words are for you.
Gordon
You mean like the other month against Liverpools u12s in the fa cup? He should’ve had his contract torn up after thatHe will play against Liverpool. He will start as captain. If he can't be up & motivated for a game like that, not bust a gut, not give his every fibre of being on the pitch then when will he ever again?
We will probably lose, Everton that, but some good can come from defeat, the managers realisation of how we feel about our 'captain'.
I'm already resigned to him putting in yet another lacklustre performance.
