But, as each year goes by the pace of the Premiership speeds up and more than anything else he lacks any kind of pace.
He simply doesn't have the pace to play in a team that isn't blessed with great pace anyway.

He ideally would like to play further forward, in my opinion, but isn't creative enough or quick enough to play there.
So, we have a willing player who lacks both pace and creativity playing out of position... what could go wrong ?

For a long time I'd have agreed, but recent weeks it's like he's hiding from the ball. Agree he definitely would prefer to play higher up but ultimately his legs have completely gone. he used to have a quick step on his first touch that can see him manoeuvre out of situations but he just doesn't have it anymore.

As crap as Tom Davies is, he never hides away. Possibly my biggest hate in football barring diving/cheats. Take responsibility on the ball. Bernard gets grief but at least he doesnt shy away from the ball and will try make stuff happen. Can't be said for Siggy.

I cant stand him as a player but I keep seeing stuff like why is he playing or replace him etc. Who with?? We barely have any players fit for the middle.

How horrible is it going to be when this half arsed bell is leading the team out at Goodison again on Monday. It will be disgraceful. He epitomises everything that’s wrong with this team at the minute. He’s supposed to be a leader setting the example FFS.

You don't doubt the desire or effort of a player who sprinted a grand total of 4 times in 90 minutes? 0 tackles, 0 interceptions? You don't question that player?

One of our many problems is a lack of a "personality" to show example on the pitch. A certain team not far away have one who is injured and they are losing games. All our players are anonymous on the pitch. Priority purchase for next season - a leader.
