For a long time I'd have agreed, but recent weeks it's like he's hiding from the ball. Agree he definitely would prefer to play higher up but ultimately his legs have completely gone. he used to have a quick step on his first touch that can see him manoeuvre out of situations but he just doesn't have it anymore.

As crap as Tom Davies is, he never hides away. Possibly my biggest hate in football barring diving/cheats. Take responsibility on the ball. Bernard gets grief but at least he doesnt shy away from the ball and will try make stuff happen. Can't be said for Siggy.

I think his confidence is probably totally gone by now.
He was moved out of his preferred position weeks ago and was asked to play deeper, last Sunday he was asked to play out wide on the left.. I can barely imagine another position that suits him less.
The dogs on the streets know we will be bringing in midfielders in the summer and a half fit Gomes was deemed better than him in central midfield.
I just wish he would shut up and stop trying to show us that he is a leader in the team when on the field we see none of those qualities.

The claims that he is ours, is young and must be given a chance are getting weaker and weaker, if they haven't already disappeared. We must raise our sights and hopefully Carlo will recruit better players when given the chance.

You mean the position he played the majority of his time in for Swansea? Yeah, totally foreign to him, I completely sympathize.

I cant stand him as a player but I keep seeing stuff like why is he playing or replace him etc. Who with?? We barely have any players fit for the middle.

He did not play in the middle (actually he didn't play at all on Sunday) and I just cannot see why we don't put Gordon in. If he's good enough, he's old enough.

Maybe he's not good enough....

Don’t think there is much ‘ maybe’ about it for most of this season, I know the midfield situation is very poor at the moment but give me someone who is at least having a go than a player who is hardly in the game, week after week after week.

I have said it loads? We have no other options to play there other than an unproven kid.

He is not in the team because the manager thinks he is playing well and he is probably the captain because nobody else is willing to take it.

He is in the team because he has two (barely) functioning legs. If we had Gbamin, Gomes until recently, Schniederlin even, available he would be getting less game time (rightfully so).
