100% correct. Amazingly people don't see it though.

The joy of seeing us sign a proper midfield is elevated for me by the thought that this donkey may never wear the shirt again.

I still maintain, pound for pound, this is our worst ever buy - set us back about five years.

Massive price tag, key area of the team, one where you aim to build an entire side around - totally useless.

With the likes of Sandro, wages aside, the outlay for the punt wasn't as bad and he wasn't brought in as a key player. Klaassen we made a bit of money back on and the mistake was fixed quickly.

But with Sigurdsson he was a financial drain and a footballing one. No other signing in our recent history has come close to being as detrimental as his.

And so disappointing. I expected far more from him.

That’s all well and good for now. If that’s going to be the case Sandro needs punting before him.
 

He’s never been a £45m player, and last season was bad, but with Allan and Doucoure in the middle, he may get some games when Rodriguez is rested. In that setup I’m sure he would be better. He’s much more of an attacker and playing CM in a 442 was never his bag. The hate on here is ridiculous.
His best season was with Gueye in the team.
 
Knowing our luck with new signings, Mina, Gomes, Gbamin, Bolasie (career ending too) , Walcott, Delph being out for long periods due to injuries.

I think it's best we keep hold of Sigurdsson
