He won’t command the wages he is getting at Everton anywhere else, he will be lucky to get 50% of what he is on now. That could be incentive enough for him to sit out his contract. Hopefully the rumours in regard to America are correct and he sees that as his last hurrah.
He has been terrible over the last while, he is being played out of position but he seems to have no professional pride in trying to do his best.

Klaassen.

An absolutely dreadful signing. I am just grateful that he knew his own limitations and left for half what the club lashed in the bin for him.

I had seen him play for Ajax before we signed him and he always looked neat and tidy, but far too slow and weak for this league.
The fact that Koeman never really used him for Holland makes me think that it was just a nice big cash lump for Ajax to improve.

Sigurdsson was massively overpriced. He has shown brief moments of quality, but he is not, and never was the player that the club required.
We basically replaced Barkley, with an equally flawed, older, hesitant midfielder, for 3x the price.

If that was the case we could sign a player then sell him the next day for a loss with his wages supposedly taking us into a positive FFP position.

i just calculate on the transfer fees and leave wages separate.

Klaasen was such an obviously poor signing from that Ajax team. It also didnt make any sense when there were plently of other options to strengthen the midfield.

Sigurdsson made sense to me and i liked him as a player but without the team being setup for him its another luxury signing.

One of the first things we should be looking for is a winning mentality and heart and luckily weve got those with Allan and Doucoure. James of course would be the somewhat luxury player but one of the best in the world at what he brings.

I would genuinelly like to know who went to watch that ajax side with sanchez, de ligt, ziyech, dolberg, de jong, van der beek & kluivert and thought klaassen was the one they wanted to spend money on
 
I can't wait until he's gone, this thread sinks into the depths of this site, and I can try tp forget his name forever.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'll never root for that Iceland side again because of him. Just can't stand the guy at all.
