How didn't he carry them? Just out of interest

Because he never, unless we’re now conceding that his stats are proof that he did.

Go back through my posts on Gylfi, I was dead set against him because he’s an enigma. I watched Swansea last year when they were in trouble, the lad shirked his responsibility and had no fight in him.

Think it was hull at home I watched, a relegation battle and he hid. Didn’t want the ball didn’t go looking for it. Then gets an assist and somehow gets labelled the hero. We bought statistics and it’s showing now, the odd goal and the odd assist; the rest isnlike playing with 10 men.

I think the point the he supposedly carried Swansea, the reality is he never and he’s massive coward who disappears when the going gets tough

I know what your saying, but I mean that we shouldn’t be in a position where we rely on one player for anything.

Sigurdsson was involved in 48.9% of Swansea's goals last season

He hid?

Aside from being directly involved in nearly half their goals, he also covered the most distance of any player in the league last season...

Gylfi Sigurdsson has covered the most distance of any player in the Premier League so far this season.

The Icelandic international has racked up a total of 318.2km on his way to becoming the most travelled player in the top flight.

Stats can be misleading but to say he never carried Swansea and he hid is a bit mad.

He's a very, very good footballer but we're Evertoning him.

Put him central, put some runners around him (Bolasie only just coming to fitness, Walcott now...) and a target to aim for (Cenk?) and he'll flourish.

Keep him out on the left with Cuco behind him, or punt hopeless long balls forward and he'll struggle.

He's capable of moments from nothing like Hajduk Split and Southampton, and he'll pop up in the big games like at Anfield but for some reason a lot of our fans seem obsessive over his fee (like with fellaini and lukaku) and hell bent on knocking the lad
