CRIMHEAD
Player Valuation: £40m
From the left. Where apparently he can't play.
Also - "A deeper look at the data revealed that only 25 of the 80 chances he created came from open play. For context, four Everton players eclipsed that number. Defensive midfielders Gareth Barry and Idrissa Gueye matched it."

Swansea had the 3rd highest amount of crosses in the league last season on to Lorrente's head. That's what he does.
As for distance covered...well, they were in a relegation scrap all season and he had to chase the ball.
Fundamentally we aren't built for his strengths. Therefore you go one of two ways - bench him and play and attacker or get a target man.
He's not a creator. He can't dictate a game. He can cross a mean ball. Again not his fault. We're just trying to make him do stuff he can't.
You'd think he'd play straight into Big Sam's apparent agricultural football.
He can also score, he's not just a crosser. He's had 3 goals already from open play this year. My guess is he'll have at least 3 more, especially with some better offensive options. And frankly, he leads our team in crosses by a mile, yet we have no one to get on the end of one. He also leads our team in key passes. So he's the #1 creative force in this team. So to rip him and not criticize everyone else is just silly.
But to say he's not a creator, when he leads the league in assists every year with limited touches on the ball in a bad team...I just don't know what a creator is. You seriously don't think it has anything to do with Everton and his team? I mean, Swans, Spurs, Iceland, etc. This guy HAS some history. Isn't Everton the anomaly?
And we aren't built for ANY creators strengths.
