Player Valuation: £70m
Maybe getting an extended run in his best position might help, but then if you have a downer on a player, you have a downer.I’m firmly putting my money on the no option here

he had a second wind after leaving Milan, but he had world class, world cup, european cup winning spells beforehand, it's not like he came out of nowhereI think pirlo for example got better after 30
... May have just been the beard.
You do realize that you've just named three people, one of whom just literally went for 146m (so a 100m more than Gylfi) and the other two are worth just as much and probably more in De Bruyne's case.I’m sure he played in this position for Swansea, I’m sure that Swansea fans came on to clarify this.
But using this old chestnut of an excuse; take anyone like De Bruyne, Eriksen, Coutinho etc etc and ask them to play in a different position I’m sure they’d excel and their skill would shine through, that’s what good players do. IIR Coutinho at the RS went from playing as part of front 3 to having a deeper position last year and still controlled the games, the same with other 2 I’ve mentioned
It’s all excuses for a massively overrated footballer
If a player is deemed bad then no sensible points will change someone's mind. You do realize that you've just named three people, one of whom just literally went for 146m (so a 100m more than Gylfi) and the other two are worth just as much and probably more in De Bruyne's case.
A scapegoat is normally one person. At this club we have a dozen. If a player is deemed bad then no sensible points will change someone's mind.
Christopher you're talking about arguably the three best creative midfielders in the league least season.I’m sure he played in this position for Swansea, I’m sure that Swansea fans came on to clarify this.

And all those players would cost north of 90m. Couthinho just went for over 100m. So maybe we shouldn't expect Gylf to be quite on that level. He's a good player, but he's not on the level of the players you mentioned, and honestly we shouldn't have expected him to be.I’m sure he played in this position for Swansea, I’m sure that Swansea fans came on to clarify this.

Most aren't scapegoats. They're just bad at what they do.A scapegoat is normally one person. At this club we have a dozen.
All players bar a couple have swings in form, doesn't make them bad at what they do. As for someone like Martina, we all know he's not good enough, I laughed at how bad he was but I knew I could never really get mad at him. Most aren't scapegoats. They're just bad at what they do.
Agreed, but when a swing in form lasts a season, it's not a swing in form for me anymore. Guys like Keane have an opportunity to get better, but maybe he wasn't as good as we thought to begin with? Jags, much as I love him has lost it. Williams is bad. Martina, no. Klassen, I really still don't rate at all. Sandro seems to have been a one hit wonder with Malaga. Bolaise who I defended, is just bad at most simple things. Schneiderlin has ability but needs to be shown the door. It's not a swing in form for him, it's attitude and effort. I'm sure there's more, but it's getting sad so I'll stop. We need to ship a lot out, and I rarely think that's the answer. So lucky that as well as players we have a DoF,Board,Owner and our ace in the pack Manager the fact he's over 60 full figured and allegedly has exotic tastes in food and drink means he's the gift that keeps on giving.A scapegoat is normally one person. At this club we have a dozen.
If that's how you feel fair enough but for my money it's been a perfect storm of a season and it's not as though others have come off the field exhausted and Schneiderlin is the only one who threw in the towel. The abuse he gets is fine with me as I lost respect for him (I think it was against Lyon) when he got his second yellow intentionally imo, but people like Williams should get the same abuse after his antics and lack of ability.Agreed, but when a swing in form lasts a season, it's not a swing in form for me anymore. Gylfi however, is not one of them.
This is where our opinions diverge. I absolutely cannot stand the man for a number of reasons.and our ace in the pack Manager the fact he's over 60 full figured and allegedly has exotic tastes in food and drink means he's the gift that keeps on giving
