Christopher you're talking about arguably the three best creative midfielders in the league least season.
Noone is arguing that he's in the same bracket. Apart from Ricky of course.
How about Jonjo Shelvey Mk, he’s contributed more

And all those players would cost north of 90m. Couthinho just went for over 100m. So maybe we shouldn't expect Gylf to be quite on that level. He's a good player, but he's not on the level of the players you mentioned, and honestly we shouldn't have expected him to be.

A scapegoat is normally one person. At this club we have a dozen.
Ok I guess I didn't go back far enough in the thread to understand this but I'm not arguing that Gylfi is as good as them. I'm saying why would you expect him to be when they're much more valuable in a market sense.I do and I also realise that, I’m using them 3 considering some people are using the same players to drive home a pointless fact that Gylfi has outshone them all
Neither does this ^. Explain?Well that doesn't make any sense mate.

I haven't looked up the dictionary definition in a while but that's not how we use the term colloquially. Trump used illegal immigrants as a monolith for sure and from this example you can extrapolate thousands of examples where groups of people have been scapegoats and not just a singular person. You can't have "dozens" of scapegoats, because a scapegoat by definition is one sole person you blame for all things that go wrong.
..he’s fine, the least of our worries.
Versatility, as in being able to play any of the supporting positions behind a striker, does seem to be a prerequisite for attacking midfielders now. Makes sense given how long it's been since the death of 4-4-2.I’m sure he played in this position for Swansea, I’m sure that Swansea fans came on to clarify this.
But using this old chestnut of an excuse; take anyone like De Bruyne, Eriksen, Coutinho etc etc and ask them to play in a different position I’m sure they’d excel and their skill would shine through, that’s what good players do. IIR Coutinho at the RS went from playing as part of front 3 to having a deeper position last year and still controlled the games, the same with other 2 I’ve mentioned
It’s all excuses for a massively overrated footballer
He hasn't scored a goal has he mert?
