It takes special effort to be as anonymous as Lukaku in a game of football when you play in a deeper role in midfield, but fair play to Gylfi - through hard work and sacrifice he managed to do absolutely nothing for an entire hour.

Needs to be playing behind the striker more not pushed out wide. With us accommodating Rooney in that role it looks like Sig will be on the flanks for the season.

Not sure being stuck out wide for the first half helped him today. Second half at least he seemed to drift inside more and grew in to the game.

He's said in a recent interview he sees himself playing best down the middle. Said he struggled at Spurs out wide but in the same position at Swansea he was given license to roam inside.

Makes you wonder how Rooney and Sigi will fit in to a team together.

Barkley got involved all over the pitch and really helped to dictate the game against the poorer sides. If that's not what this lad does then it's another issue we've got to address.
