The worst is when it easy to disprove. He does work hard...yet he runs more miles than anyone in the league. He doesn’t score from open play or outside of the box...yet he scored more when he wasn’t taking free kicks at Spurs and has more goals from outside the box than anyone in the league during his career. It goes on and on...

I like him...always have...but he will be on 120-150k a week and at 29 this is his peak...

Think we need someone with different abilities...in the attacking midfield role.

What have his wages got to do with whether we should keep him? It’s got zero to do with you and I what he earns - it’s how he performs that counts. He’s clearly one of the better players we have, if not the best currently. Just because he’s not 14 and bossing U-16 games doesn’t mean his no good.
