Some players are better for club than country. Some players are better for country than club. Some players are better as a "big fish in a small pond". Some players are better in a "small fish in a big pond".

Gylfi is 2 of these.

Or he's just been okay for Everton. Are Spurs a big pond?

if he was 20 and playing in ligue deux zat would be salivating over him

Of course! Literally everyone on here would be as he would have huge upside potential...wouldnt be on a massive salary and wouldnt have cost £45mil

Would be a brilliant signing at 20 from ligue 2..

But hes 29 in a couple of months and on huge money with his ability only going one way.

Hes got 3 years left, min.

I think you have this dream that will could get our money back and buy somebody else, despite you stating time and again you think hes a good player, its baffling Zat, it really is.

We wont get our money back, its gone, we spent it, hes ours till he breaks, embrace his time here.

Strange, strange bunch on here mate.

I've never heard another blue anywhere else slagging Sigurdsson off like some do on GOT. It's utterly bizarre here.
Even my rs friends were angry when he signed for us, and they usually dont care at all what we do. Some of our own supporters are terrible.

lol no...just saying IF there was an offer close to what was paid.

Im not saying actively look to sell him.

If someone did offer something for him, and we did sell him, what do we do then?

If you think he’s good why go through the hassle of selling him then having to go out and find a replacement.

Because, and in fairness to Zat, he's always been consistent with it, as soon as you hit 27 you're transfer-listed.

If we are to continue to go through the massive changes that are talked about, I.e. getting shot of 12 players, then we need to hang on to him. He can play, he is a good player, maybe not great but the sort we need to keep some stability while we get ourselves sorted out.
If this was a democracy I would vote to keep him, not because he is brilliant but because he is good enough for us at the moment. I am hoping he won't be good enough to play for Everton because we improve over the coming seasons.
