I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this.

I'm crying personally. He looks like he never wants to create unless it's a 30 yard cross. Releases the ball as early as he can. Barkley was strong and made us tick a lot more. I dare say we're missing him more than Lukaku

I agree that Sigurdson has been somewhat underwhelming up to now, but I think your view on Barkley is overly nostalgic and not entirely truthful.

How many times did we complain that Barkley lacked the insight to pick out the pass? Or he decided to stroll in front of defenders? Too many.

It's not nostalgic at all mate. I have no emotional connection to him at all as he's a bit a of clown.

I just think Barkley is a more desirable asset and a better player. Seen Swansea plenty with Sigurdsson and I've said the same since we were rumoured with him

We've basically squandered £50m on a free kick specialist.

Thing is though, he doesn't even look to be that - he's delivered one decent ball in every ten since he joined.

It's almost like he's got the big contract of his career and has downed tools knowing he's financially set until he retires. I know that isn't the case, but that's how bad he's been.

He is the the reason why we are so ineffective when attacking. Anyone disputing this can watch the match and take note when he had possession.

An attacking midfield who does not know how to receive the ball, turn towards goal and try to create something is ridiculously bad, almost every possession is turn into a back pass. He looks like a centerback playing at left wing. I see no contribution from him that is relevant to our attacking play. Lack of closing down forces Baines to be more withdrawn, lack of pace down the flank effectively kills of out threat down the left.

If he's so limited why don't we play this big lump up front and have running supporting him when he try some spectacular back pass.
