Ok cos we paid £45 million we HAVE to give him all the free kicks, even if the angle, quality, situation might ask for Baines, Mirallas or Rooney ? Oh yeah Barkley used to be good too, but he got shot down by Lukaku for 3 years so he's out.

It was so effing obvious that Baines wanted to hit it in the second half. Such a shame Baines doesn't even have the guts to insist upon taking it ffs

I can accept this mate, the problem is though, if a player is 'quality' then even if he was being played out of position you would still expect to see some of that quality shine through, and for him to still have some impact on games, not even getting a glimmer of this from Sigurdsson.

The other thing is as well mate, being played out of position shouldn't have any effect on his set - pieces (something he is supposedly boss at) which mainly have been piss poor.

He's being played as an attacking midfielder so I don't know why people are excusing him. Just call as it is, he's playing crap and so are the team.

Personally I think the movement off the ball is disgusting right now and that can't be helping him. Still should be doing better than this.
 
What is the odds he won't even score from a free kick in the Premier this year? Today's chance was downright laughable.
How much did we spend on him? Surely, this is just a very bad dream.
 
His delivery from set pieces today was good, just so that is said. But we never lacked that quality in the rest of the team, and nobody really needed Gylfi in the team.

I think his price and obvious messing with our midfield hierarchy really has been the single most important reason to why our squad has no togetherness.

Some clown with a spreadsheet has to be behind this, surely.

Offers absolutely nothing as a footballer. And even when it comes to set pieces I’ve seen far better. Mad signing

However what’s worse is spending 45m on him yet not bringing a target man in to complement sigs set pieces? Hilarious business Everton
