Would love him to do well. That tackle the last night makes me think he might have the physicality to hold his own in the premier.

Needs full minutes . 90 a game. But that might be hard in the position we are in. So it's a 1 year loan move for me in the summer and see what he comes back like.

I’d forgotten about him!

I like both of the lads Armstrong and Dixon and hope to see both of them come through but I’ve seen young players at Everton with a lot more talent than these two struggle to even make the first team, and even if they do there’s not many who have carved out top careers. It’s extremely difficult and the bar is so so high.

Managers in the bottom half are not always going to be playing even their best teenage prospects let alone starting them every game in key positions in defence midfield and upfront. People’s expectations are warped when it comes to young players.

Surely a chance will come his way now that Doucoure has shown himself up for the new manager. Well, at most clubs that would happen, but logical things don't generally happen at Everton.

We have let too many youngsters go - Cannon etc to hold on or buy the rubbish we have all over the team, even 3 keepers is excessive - the chickens have come hold to roost get rid of Tuson who was useless then buy Beto ..... ... Two good left backs gone .....

Doucs was breathing out of his back side 60 minutes in we lack pace as it is !

Since November 2nd we have scored 3 goals from open play. Harrison has provided a beautifully assisted pass to assist one of those goals. That’s more open play assists than Harrison, Doucoure, Gana, Mangala, McNeil and Calvert-Lewin put together. Play him. What’s the worst that happens? He’s not very good? If so, we’re still no worse off than we currently are.
Maybe a youngster keen to succeed and make an impression is the breath of fresh air we need. I’d find it much easier to get behind him making some effort than Doucoure lumbering round like he’s just been shot by a tranquilliser dart from someone in the crowd.

….its really not Matey. All teams work on what they do when they have the ball and when they don’t.

Simple truth is we’re useless in possession so we have to compensate by trying to be hard to beat. Next game watch Doucoure when the opposition has the ball and he gets goal side and looks to get in the way of things. He’s awful, but the day we can win without him is when we’re progressing.

Don’t agree pal, I’m very experienced at watching football. I afraid he doesn’t do a lot , can’t win a tackle . I agree he works hard running around.
