2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

I wouldn't be loaning him. Let him play in the 21s and Youth Cup with the occasional bench appearance thrown in. If he's going to make it, he needs to learn how to dominate inferior opposition. He can do that already against his peers at U18 but I haven't seen it at U21 level consistently. 6 months of bossing games will not hurt him, it certainly never hurt Cannon, Broadhead or Simms.

Really? Well you saw what basically no one else did. Or didn’t, since he never made it.
England under 17/18 & 20 international.
Thought he was the right size or shape, there was one pre season he got some decent game time and played well in an away game at Wigan.
Think he got loaned to Reading and had a terrible time.

How many of those did you watch and think “yep they’re gonna make it here” before their loan(s)?

I asked you, not The Guardian. They have to pick 1 player ever year.

No one from our academy who looked like they’d make it here hasn’t. Or they were poached.

Sorry mate, i must of just been a bit more delusional than yourself on some of these lads coming through

We just keep our OAPs - these lads should be on our bench - Harrison Armstrong playing instead of Doucs .....
Armstrong is the first in a long time to look like he might, and I really emphasise the might, be able to regularly get in and around the first team squad for a while.

Last one was Gordon and he got nabbed by the Geordies.

Most academy products seem to go on and have respectable careers further down the leagues.

Yes too true & we have to stop the rot under the new owners!
