2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

He's got a lovely outside of the boot pass that he regularly uses in tight spaces, hasn't he?
Looks be playing deeper than he did with us.
As for outside of the boot pass , I'd prefer him to use his other foot

But that's being picky. Lots to like about this lad and a loan spell can only be good for his development

Its a good sign he is playing and getting good reviews in the championship at 18, most of our loan players previously don't play and end up getting sent back!

Hope the lad can make the level. It’s a huge step up though. Garner looked absolutely imperious at Forest in the championship but couldn’t make the United team, and has been steady for us a poor PL team.

The quality in the championship is just really really poor. It’s great he’s getting regular first team football but the acid test remains how he will perform in the prem.

Be interesting to see if Derby try to keep him if they stay up. What's he worth? What could they afford? How much is this last PSR payment Moyes was talking about?
Other than Patterson there aren't really any players we would want to sell who will still be under contract next season so maybe there is something clever that can be done where Derby buy him, Potentially sorts our PSR issue (does homegrown play a factor?), but we have an agreed lowish buy back clause so we don't miss out if he develops further.

Pass and move. Looks like he's streets ahead of some our regular starters (all be it against lesser opposition). Definitely promising and the loan seems to be working as we could all hope.

….i thought the loan was high risk given his age. He lives at home, is literally only just turned 18 and has very limited experience of open-age football so the fact he’s doing what he is says bundles about his attitude. I think that’s what’s impressing me most.

Attitude with his quality range of passing, it’s hard not to think Moyes has a player on his hands for next season.

The only problem with going out on loan at his age is it becomes very difficult to go back to junior/limited football once you've had exposure to that level. They'll have to make a decision on whether he's ready to be a proper first teamer here or he's going out on loan again because he's unlikely to want to just get the odd run out off the bench and play for the under 23s.

He should be

Alongside Gana Gauye learning his trade in cameo midfield appearances when he comes back & then he will earn his place in our team next season ....

Good problem to have tho!

I would have used him from the bench this season personally .....
