Bring him in as a special ‘under-23s’ goalie development coach. Pay him £100k a year + 2% of any profits made from player turnover.

it’s an area where a pretty ordinary player can go for big money. Would be a good fiscal appointment.

I'll be honest mate, I'm just not sure Southall would want to do it. He works with kids who've been expelled and got little life chances and seems to really enjoy it. One of the few footballers who can see there is a world beyond football. I would imagine he's fairly comfortable financially and whats to dedicate the rest of his life to helping those in need of a hand. Hes a genuinely good egg.

Strangely I think he'd be fantastic with EITC.

Didnt see the game, but based on these two clips he’s already a lot better than Pickford. Specially that last chance there, no doubt in my mind Pickie would not be able to save that ball.

I'm sure this is probably a bit tongue in cheek, but the 2nd save in particular is the sort Pickford makes. Great reflexes and power.

Tyrer did really well yesterday, he doesn't look big enoguh for me, but at 18 you can still grow. I have to say he hadn't massively caught my eye for the reserves much, but I suppose making appearances for them as an under 18 in the position of a goalkeeper is pretty impressive.

He played well yesterday though, so well done to him.

This photo was taken in 2015 when our ball boy booted the ball away from Diego Costa at Goodison,

Costa then stared at the kid and the kid stared back until Costa eventually looked away, having been stared out by a child , to many cheers lol

Ballboy is Harry Tyrer lol

The stars are aligning!

seriously though, just the one game yday for him but he showed a very high level of skill and ability. Donnarumma came through at a very young age at Milan and it would be amazing if this kid could do the same at Everton. Good luck to him.

Tyrer showed yesterday what he’s been doing for the u18/23s, he’s an excellent , agile, shot stopper which most of our young GKs are, it’s what initially sets them apart from their peers. The real differentiator though is how they handle playing against men , coming for and collecting crosses when you get barged about, making mistakes and recovering from them , pushing shots away from players and not into oncoming forwards etc. He’s got a lot of developing to do but he’s showing , particularly with his footwork/ passing out, he’s got the attributes needed for a modern GK.
