...used to see the odd hedgehog in the garden but haven't for quite a few years now, which is sad if indicative of their decline. Next door have got a tortoise called Speedy, though.

Yeh, loads of badgers and foxes here. Badgers are part of the problem, they do kill quite a few hedgehogs.

So are we ok to run badgers over?

Tbh the don't exactly dart out at ya , even in the dark you wouldn't hit a brick Not sure about thier intelligence, has there been any tests done ?
