Heitinga hints at Everton exit

SSN just now...Heitinger has turned down 'loan move' to West Ham. According to Martinez, terms were agreed between clubs but Heitinger turned move down, and is in the squad to play QPR.

Heitinga is a good player. He'd probably suit the Martinez system and would be playing his best football for us this season but for 3 factors. He's not preferred by the new manager to the 4 other centre backs, he's never made the position his own when he's had chances in his time here and most importantly he's on far too large a salary given his contribution.

Wherever he goes, he'll probably improve their team and make himself a first team fixture quickly, he's just never made the impact here he was expected to after the Lescott sale.

Well if he's in the squad for QPR then the 'interest' from Newcastle may not be as definite as some sources have claimed.

Let's be honest here. Why would he want to go west ham. Awful ground in a god awful place in London (makes L4 look like paradise) with awful fans.

Nothing wrong with Jonny wanting to make sure his next move is the right one even if it is for money. He's still a Dutch international playing for a club on the verge of champions league football and believes he can still compete.

He has a contract and has no obligation to leave and we'll be honourable I'm sure.

It must be great for someone like stones to have Jonny around.

IMO of course.

cos it was for 6 months so he had a chance to go to the world cup. then in the summer hes free to feck off wherever he can find.

I do agree on his day he's quality. He strikes me as being of the mindset that he's better than he actually is. He's arrogant and struts around like he's Franz Beckenbauer. I am not a fan of his inconsistency and think he needs to bugger off sharpish.

He can do better than west ham though. Much better.

Really? Why do you say that? He's not had a sniff with us for a long while so dropping down the league bit is hardly unusual.

If he was actually getting some game time then sure someone in and around us like Newcastle I could see. Take away their ridiculous striker shortage and West Ham should be a solid lower mid table team in my opinion.
