I have a hatred for him because he just doesn't try hard enough and isnt the player he thinks he is. I don't doubt there is a talented player in their somewhere.

You're comparing him to some of our all time greatest players. How is that fair? Everyone looks gash if you compare them to that lot.

He was absolutely crap in the last world cup, and we are stuck with him because no matter what he says no one asked about him
at all during the summer. His so called offers are about as real as BK's claim of enquiries to buy Everton.

I want rid of him due to his wages but some of the posts on here are strange to say the least. Just to bring some context to this, he was messed about by the previous manager, plus he has been hawked about Europe. Loyalty works both ways.

to be fair I don't think any other team in the prem had offered him a guaranteed CB place in the first place.

That said, he really needed some time back at the Eredivisie to sort himself out.

Thank you jtl60 for putting me right on the competition, that is the one I meant. Moomin makes no mention of the alleged offers but talks of the mangers treatment of him. Perhaps if he had put in better displays commensurate withn his supposed skill and high wages matters could well have been different. There have been many posts on here about his poor performance .

He was crap at the Euro's, but so was all the Dutch team. What are you on about regarding alleged offers, what should I be mentioning?? Last time I checked I'm not his agent.

As I said earlier in the thread, you could say he has been harshly treated. I will quote a previous post I done.

He is a good centre back, but he is a player who needs a few games to get into form. The majority of his games he was awful was when he has been reintroduced to the starting lineup after missing a few games.

He did get messed around by the previous manager, and we have hawked him around Europe to be sold a few times. Its no wonder at times he can't be arsed for us.

This sums up my view on him.
