Is it just me then that thinks jags has been good and distin poor ?

Heitinga must start against Swansea. But for me I would be giving distin some time on the bench. The 2nd goal last night was down to him IMO. Very poor marking. I honestly think backs against the walls Distin is great but in games when teams are counter attacking us he's a liability.

Just my opinion like...
 
Wouldn't want jags anywhere near the middle. I fear what will happen every time he gets the ball. Osman was at fault for their first goal last night and needs to sort his s** t out to.

Distin was clearly better than Jags last night. Given that both goals were scored by Ba, who was being "marked" by Jags, how do you conclude Distin was at fault for the second?

And of the two, Distin is the fastest so how do you find him a liability when the opponent counterattacks? Jags OFF, Heitinga ON please.
 
If Heitinga doesn't start in the centre of defence on saturday, and I don't think Moyes will do that, he must surely play in CM instead of either Neville or Osman who were both woeful again last night! Playing those two together in the centre of midfield is asking for trouble!

Think Distin is our best CB for counter attacks mate, simply because of his pace. Plus his height helps too. Jags was bummed in the air by Ameobi last night, and before that Demba Ba.
 
Jags had a poor game by his standards last night. I still would have him over Johnny but If moyes dropped him which would be harsh then that,s the price of not being "on it" from min 1 to min 90.

We have cover in that spot so competition drives standards up in the end and that can only be a good thing.
 
At the very least he should be playing at DM.

He's not great there but he's infinitely better than Neville. Plus on the ball he can at least do something other than lose possession.

I didn't think Distin was any better, For the second goal when Ameobi chested it into Ba's path Distin just jogged along side him and did nothing. Had he stood still Ba would have been off side.

I've got no interest in playing Heitinga in midfield, but I do agree that he should now start in place of either of these two, probably Jags as Johnny & Jags never looked good, where as Distin being a left footer gives him that slight advantage over playing two right footers together
 

Johnny and Distin as last season Jags & Distin really didn't look that solid but Johnny and Distin did. Also the distribution would be better than with Jags hoofing it away randomly even if we have Fellaini in as a target.
 
I'd also like to see Duffy and Heitinga given a shot.

Still not forgiven Distin for losing us the FA Cup semi final.

Jagielka has had about five solid games in two seasons.

Heitinga is our player of the year, and Duffy didn't do a thing wrong when called upon last season.
 
Jags has started the season well - wasn't great last night but would be harsh to drop him so quickly.

I reckon we will see Heitinga as a defensive midfielder on Sat
