no cause he acts the hard man all the time but ****s out of tackles like the one against dj campbell for blackpool when they were in the premier. jags and distin all day long long for me.

No, You think he acts like a hard man, When in reality he probably doesn't. People wanted him to be the hard man of our team, and when they found out he wasnt what they wanted him to be, They tried to blag he acts like one when he isn't.

If he signs, he's probably in mind for replacing Distin as he leaves. Fully confident in heitinga although his performance against Wigan was atrocious,

Don't really think that was his fault, not sure how moysie expected him to keep up with someone like Kone. I said after the first 15minutes that he needed to be replaced by Distin, nothing against him just too slow for that game, against someone like Stoke he should shine

Let's wait until that new contract is signed.I think that Heitinga has said that negotiations have started, not been agreed.
I will be genuinely surprised if it happens, because I didn't think John Heitinga would accept not being a definite starter for every game...and he isn't.
I always think that he sees himself playing CL at a bigger club than Everton, but then maybe no bigger club showed any interest during the summer.
I also believe that David Moyes may think that he could get an equally good centrehalf at less of a cost,we have been told the club would like to move him on because of his cost and now they want to extend that cost for a longer period...strange !!

It doesn't explain why he was completely out to lunch the entire first half, including Kone's offside goal when he inexplicably tried to play offsides when the ball was 4 yards in front of him.

Mind you, I think he's a good player, but the way he played that match, no one's fault but his own.

This.

No i don't want him to be a hardman just want him not to bottle tackles and stop acting the tit all the time.

How does he act like a tit mate ? Can you give me a list of examples please ?

Also, he doesn't bottle tackles any more than Distin or Jags, he simply relies more on jockeying players than going in for the ball like Jags and Distin do, that's a play style, not something that needs fixing. (If it did, he wouldn't have been fantastic for us last year)

Not impressed, he is already one of our highest earners and will probably now sign a new contract until he is in his 30's i.e. another player with no sell on value.

Moyes should wait until january and if we get a bid between 6-8m then sell him. this should allow us to bring in replacements for nev and distin who are off at the end of the season.

people say you shouldnt think like that but lets face it we have to, as soon as rodwell made his debut for us he was already earmarked as the sacrificial lamb.
