Heitinga

He was shocking for Holland in the summer too. Maybe he just needed a break, Moyes has seen that, and with Distin having a mare V Newcastle, he had to bring Heitinga back in so early, so he has not had that needed break yet

Just a thought like.

My thinking on the situation is that Jags and Heitinga are right centre backs and Distin is a left centre back. Any time Jags/Heitinga are asked to play together the one who plays left CB seems to have a mare. You would think the two positions are the same but they are not.

The other factor is he is a bit rusty having sat on the bench for a while and tries to over do things when he comes back into the team.

When he first arrived it took me a while to warm to him and his stupid comments from time to time, then he put one of the loudest thumping tackles in against Karl Henry in a 50/50 that I'll never forget! For me he is a class act and we should hold on to him for as long as possible.

...seriously?

Would love to have seen that, i've seen him [Poor language removed] out far too many times, the DJ Campbell one still gives me nightmares.

Hope he does so I can finally get Heitinga 5 on the back of my shirt ffs. I've always stalled because I thought he was gonna leave.

Good player so its great that he is getting a new contract sorted. However, since he has came back into the squad he has been badly gash and he really needs to pick up the performances otherwise Distin is waiting.
Jagielka doesnt deserve to be dropped either IMO as i know most rate Heitinga-Distin as our best partnership.

I will pull out all my hair if Jagielka-Heitinga is the pair going forward. I don't care which one sits, but one of them needs to be on the bench. They are too similar in size and defensive ability, and should be paired with someone who has size and quickness (oh, where could we find someone like that?)

I find it funny how its people who paint him up as a hard man, and thats what THEY want him to be, But moan / use it against him when thats not how he plays. End of the day he's our best footballing centre half, And when on form equally as good as jags defensively, Them two will be our next partnership for the next couple of years.
