Since there have been very few American Blues, I've done a lot of research on all of them. Joe is my favorite as well. I was only 8 when he was in his prime and not following Premier League, but just his versatility and skill was on such a high level, at Everton and for our national team as well. As far as who attracted me to Everton the most, though, was Tim Howard, just because of the timing of the World Cups and being older, with Premier League being more accessible to me here on cable.

Care to give me a lesson on that? Over here I have to take to google to even know what the Wirral is. I only see that Tranmere Rovers play there, but I don't know of that being a big rivalry in recent years anyway.

Sadly, Tranmere got relegated out of Division 2, but the Rovers also gave us Dixie 'don't rub 'em, count 'em' Dean.
